YEREVAN. – Armenia continues deepening and expansion of strategic relations with Russia, Deputy FM Shavarsh Kocharyan said during the budget debates in parliament.

Kocharyan noted importance of strengthening friendly relations with U.S., development of bilateral ties with Europe and within the EU in general.

“We are focused on such giants as China, India, Japan and other Asian states, as well as Canada, Armenia-Turkey relations without preconditions. So, we have to work in all directions,” the official said.

Speaking about Armenia's membership in international organizations and unions, he said Armenia will become a full member of the Eurasian Union on January 1, 2014 after the treaty is ratified by the members.
