YEREVAN. – Armenia will receive $600,000 worth of vaccines against influenza from the American charity organization called Task Force for Global Health.  

The respective decision was adopted at Thursday’s Cabinet session.

According to the Minister of Health, Sergey Khachatryan, it is indispensable to be vaccinated in order to effectively combat against the threat of flu.

Armenia had acquired very small amount of vaccines in the years past.

A substantial portion of the new vaccines will be given to the army. The rest will be allocated to the country’s health care providers, educators, orphanage staff, and elderly residents of nursing homes.
