YEREVAN. – Nothing has changed in Lithuania's policy on Nagorno-Karabakh, Lithuania's Ambassador to Armenia Erikas Petrikas said in an e-mail response to Armenian News-NEWS.am inquiry whether Lithuania is supporting only the principle of territorial integrity in terms of the Nagorno-Karabakh issue.

“Lithuania supports the efforts of the Minsk Group Co chairs for holding regular, timely and structured negotiations between the Presidents of Armenia and Azerbaijan,” Ambassador said.

“We appreciate the willingness expressed by both Presidents to continue their dialogue and resolve this conflict exclusively by peaceful means, as it was reiterated in recent meeting in Paris on 27 October”.

Earlier in an interview with Trend agency, Lithuania's Ambassador to Azerbaijan Valdas Lastaukas  said his country's position about territorial integrity of Azerbaijan remains the same.

As it is written in the article: “Lithuania has always respected the fundamental principle of the international law – the principle of territorial integrity of states – and this position remains unchanged, he said”.
