STEPANAKERT. – Twenty-eight Syrian-Armenian families live in Kashatagh region of the Nagorno-Karabakh Republic, the local official told reporters on Saturday.
Robert Matevosyan, representative of the Kashatagh regional administration, said three families live in Berdzor (Lachin).
“Those living in Ishkhanadzor and Kovsakan are mainly engaged in agriculture. The government has provided them with privileged loans. There are Syrian Armenians who will stay in Kashatagh regardless of situation in Syria,” he added.
