The Kashatagh Region of the Nagorno-Karabakh Republic (NKR) is in the same economic zone as Armenia, and it definitely will be engaged in the activities linked to the Eurasian Economic Union (EEU).

Kashatagh Resettlement Department Head Robert Matevosyan noted the above-said at a press conference on Saturday.

Matevosyan informed that a memorandum was signed Friday with the authorities of the Malatia-Sebastia District of Armenia’s capital city of Yerevan.

“[Accordingly], a place will be allocated for the products of NKR’s Kashatagh Region in the agricultural products’ market of that region. That is, our products will enter the market of Armenia; solely the technical matters must be resolved.

“And it is indispensable to also solely resolve the technical matters in the exporting of these goods from the Armenian market to the Russian market,” the NKR official stressed.

He added that Kashatagh’s best brand is its honey.

The other speaker of the press conference, chief editor Zohrab Rkoyan of Kashatagh’s Meran newspaper, highlighted that the NKR can export ecologically-clean food to the EEU countries (Russia, Belarus, and Kazakhstan).

“We can export honey, [and] vegetables,” Rkoyan stressed.
