French-Armenian journalist and cartoonist Krikor Amirzayan on Friday will receive from Vicken Tchitechian, the Ambassador of Armenia to France, the Gold Medal by the Ministry of Diaspora of Armenia.    

The award ceremony will be held at the Bourg-lès-Valence Municipality, reported the French-Armenian Nouvelles d’Arménie magazine.

Amirzayan, who is born in Syria and has moved with his family to France, is a popular figure in the Armenian press.

His articles and cartoons are issued in the Armenian publications around the world, including in Armenia.
