YEREVAN. – China’s new Ambassador to Armenia, Tien Erlong, on Tuesday presented his credentials to President Serzh Sargsyan.

The President congratulated the ambassador on his appointment and expressed the hope that, during his diplomatic mission in Armenia, he will make every effort to further develop Armenian-Chinese relations, informed the Press Office of the President.

He also stressed that Armenia-China relations are developing in a dynamic manner. In the President’s conviction, the active mutual visits and the bilateral talks and discussions greatly contribute to the strengthening of ties between the two countries.

Ambassador Tien Erlong, for his part, assured that he will do his utmost to successfully carry out the ambassador’s accountable mission in Armenia. He stressed that China esteems Armenia and the Armenian nation, and sees great potential and prospects for the development of Armenian-Chinese relations.

In his conviction, once Armenia will join the Eurasian Economic Union, new opportunities will open toward expanding economic cooperation.

Subsequently, the interlocutors underscored that, in parallel with the active political dialogue, collaboration should be further deepened in several other domains. They also highlighted the project to found an advanced Chinese language school in Armenia.
