Ambassador Andrzej Kasprzyk, the Personal Representative of the OSCE Chairman-in-Office, has visited the crash site of the Nagorno-Karabakh Republic (NKR) Air Force helicopter which Azerbaijan had shot down.

RIA Novosti news agency of Russia reported about the aforementioned citing the OSCE press service.

“Ambassador Kasprzyk has visited the crash site,” the agency quoted the press service officer as saying. The officer added that the safety of the OSCE delegation was ensured.

The Azerbaijani side, on the other hand, continues to insist that Kasprzyk has not visited the crash site.

“The reports that Special Representative of the OSCE Chairman-in-Office, Andrzej Kaspzyk reviewed the area in Aghdam district, where Armenia’s Mi-24 military helicopter was shot down, are groundless,” Azerbaijani Defense Ministry Spokesperson Vagif Dargahli told APA news agency of Azerbaijan.

Dargahli said that the OSCE monitoring was conducted in the pre-defined area and no incident occurred during the monitoring.

“Some media outlets reported quoting press service of the OSCE that Andrzej Kasprzyk has visited the area where Armenia’s Mi-24 military helicopter was shot down while attacking the Azerbaijani positions.

“Once again, we state that the reports on the OSCE representatives’ and Andrzej Kasprzyk’ visiting the area are groundless and false. Their security has only been assured in the specified and monitored area. This area is 20 km away from the area where the helicopter was shot down,” Dergahli said.
