YEREVAN. – Armenia will be sending a new professional to the European Court of Human Rights (ECtHR).   

Foreign Affairs Minister Edward Nalbandian stated the abovementioned at Wednesday’s Cabinet meeting. 

In his words, considering the growing number of lawsuits that are filed against European countries, the ECtHR Secretariat has petitioned to Armenia with a request to send another representative.       

And from the three respective candidates which the Armenian government had nominated, the ECtHR Secretariat selected Prosecutor Armen Galstyan from the Prosecutor General’s Office Department of Investigation and Inquiry Legitimacy Control.
