YEREVAN. – Even though Armenia has chosen Eurasian integration, the Riga-Yerevan relations will not undergo changes.
Latvian Ambassador to Armenia Elita Gavele, whose diplomatic residence is in the Georgian capital city of Tbilisi, told the aforesaid to Armenian News-NEWS.am.
“We will just continue to seek new opportunities for further cooperation, but our economic relations are strongly lagging behind.
“I hope that when we find out with what rules the EEU [i.e., the Russia-led Eurasian Economic Union] plays, it will become an incentive for Riga to expand cooperation in the economic domain,” the Latvian ambassador specifically noted.
