YEREVAN. – A Cypriot parliamentary delegation, led by President Yiannakis Omirou of the House of Representatives of Cyprus, on Thursday paid a visit to the Armenian Genocide Memorial in capital city Yerevan.
The delegation was accompanied by Armenia National Assembly (NA) Vice-Speaker Eduard Sharmazanov, and NA Chief of Staff-Secretary General Hrayr Tovmasyan.
The Cypriot parliamentary delegation members laid a wreath and placed flowers to the monument which eternalizes the memory of the genocide, and paid a silent tribute to the 1.5 million innocent victims of this tragedy, the NA press service informed.
The guests also toured the Armenian Genocide Museum-Institute.
