YEREVAN. – Armenia is going to take a huge step in the inclusive education sector, Education and Science Minister Armen Ashotyan told Armenian News-NEWS.am.

He stated the aforementioned commenting on the bill, which has been submitted to the special parliament session, and with respect to making amendments in the Law on Public Education.

As per the minister, if the parliament passes this proposal, the project on making a reform in inclusive education will be approved, too.

“We have set an ambitious plan before us; the first of its kind in Eastern Europe, and we want to implement it for the sake of our children,” Ashotyan stated.

The education and science minister added, however, that the special schools cannot be completely closed down, since there are children whose illnesses do not enable them to receive inclusive education.
