YEREVAN. – Expert Hakob Chakaryan does not think that Turkey will open border with Armenia, he said during a press conference on Friday asked whether Turkey may act ahead of the centennial of the Armenian Genocide.

The expert said Turkey's President Erdogan has already made a move when he expressed condolences to the Armenian nation on April 23.

“I do not think that Turkey will open the border with Armenia. Turkish side will wait for results of the events on the occasion of  the centennial of the Armenian Genocide,” he noted.

The task should be not to open the border, but to establish diplomatic relations as this will lead to the border opening.
