YEREVAN. – Armenia's railway sector is ready for accession to the Eurasian Economic Union. This was noted during a discussion at the Transport Ministry dedicated to planned legislative changes in cargo and passenger transportation.

Deputy Minister Artur Arakelyan, deputy head of railways Arsen Mkrtchyan and deputy director of South Caucasus Railways Oleg Shakalov participated in the discussion.

The participants admitted there are no obstacles in the railway sector that could impact Armenia's accession to the Eurasian Economic Union. The Ministry expressed readiness to provide consultations and assistance to the companies dealing with rail transport.
