KYIV. - A significant amount of work on the construction of the Armenian Cathedral has been conducted in Ukraine Capital City Kyiv, Armenian News - NEWS.am reports.

According to AnalitikaUA.net, the Union of Armenians of Ukraine has informed that a considerable amount of work has been already done on the site, dedicated by the City of Kyiv for construction of Armenian Cathedral.

The decision to start the construction of the Armenian Cathedral in the Ukrainian capital was made in 2012, but the construction works did not start until a number of key issues were solved. As previously reported, the construction of churches is one of the main activities of the Union of Armenians of Ukraine. According to the head of the Union Vilhen Shatvoryan, the construction of churches will implement one of the main goals of the Armenian Diaspora - presentation of Armenian culture to the people of Ukraine.
