YEREVAN. – The Minister of Nature Protection of Armenia, Aramayis Grigoryan, on Wednesday met with British Ambassador Katherine (Kathy) Jane Leach.

The interlocutors discussed the environmental issues in Armenia and in the world, in general, and reflected on the special environmental protection areas and ecotourism development in Armenia, and on several other matters.

Ambassador Leach noted that Armenia has a great potential to become better known in the world and to develop its ecotourism.

Minister Grigoryan, for his part, stressed that the Armenian government and the international organizations make joint efforts to improve the safeguard of the special protection areas and to develop ecotourism.
