There was news on the social networks, according to which Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev has ordered to give new apartments to the families of [Azerbaijani saboteurs] Dilham Askerov, Shahbaz Guliyev, and Hasan Hasanov, Haqqin.az reported.

The president gave the relevant order to Deputy PM Ali Hasanov, who is also Chairman of the State Committee for Refugees and IDPs of Azerbaijan, who informed about this to reporters.

Defendants Dilham Askerov and Shahbaz Guliyev, the two members of an Azerbaijani intelligence-gathering sabotage team that had infiltrated into the Nagorno-Karabakh Republic (NKR), are standing trial in the NKR. Third saboteur Hasan Hasanov, on the other hand, was killed by the Armenian armed forces while rendering the saboteurs ineffective. These saboteurs have killed two persons, one being a teenager, and wounded a woman. Askerov and Guliyev are charged with committing numerous crimes.

To note, however, this is not the first time when Azerbaijani murderers of Armenians are “rewarded.” Ramil Safarov, a then-lieutenant in the Azerbaijani military, was extradited to Azerbaijan on August 31, 2012 from Hungary, where he was serving a life sentence for the premeditated axe murder of Armenian lieutenant Gurgen Margaryan, in his sleep, during a NATO Partnership for Peace program in Budapest on February 19, 2004. And upon his return to Azerbaijan, Safarov was allocated an apartment, presented awards, and assigned pension.
