YEREVAN. – Military and technical cooperation between Russia and Azerbaijan makes situation more predictable and transparent at least for the Russian side in terms of preserving fragile peace that continues for 20 years, Russian expert Nikolay Silayev said.

The senior expert at the Center for the Regional Security and Caucasus studies pointed to involvement of the Russian arms producers

“Azerbaijan is purchasing weapons at world market prices. I would consider situation from a different angle: it is clear that Armenian public is not happy with military and technical cooperation between Russia and Azerbaijan, but this makes situation more predictable and transparent at least for the Russian side,” he said.
