YEREVAN. – The flow of Armenian migrant workers to Russia may reduce, demographer Ruben Yeganyan believes.

He is convinced that consequences of the Ukrainian crisis will be felt for a long time, and the situation will aggravate because of landslide in oil prices. This will lead to recession and decline in demand for labor force which will affect migrant workers from Armenia.

“They will not be able to work in Europe. Migrant workers will face serious difficulties, or they may change the route to Kazakhstan unless the latter is affected by Russian economic slowdown,” Yeganyan told reporters.
