YEREVAN. – Prime Minister of Armenia Hovik Abrahamyan is holding a meeting, on Saturday in the Government Building, with a group of employees from the Nairit chemical rubber plant of the capital city Yerevan.

Four Nairit workers, led by Nairit Trade Union Committee Head Hrach Tadevosyan, are taking part in this talk, the Armenian News-NEWS.am reporter informed from the scene.

The plant workers will present the PM their concerns in connection with the payment of their overdue salaries and the ongoing downsizing at Nairit, and try to get respective clarifications from the Premier.

About a hundred plant employees are waiting outside the Government Building.

The overdue 18-month salaries of the employees of Nairit—which is currently inactive—total Armenian drams equivalent to approximately $15 million. These workers have assembled outside the Government Building for days demanding a solution to their problems.
