A total of U.S. $479.9m were transferred to Armenia for individuals this January-May – a 4.2% (U.S. $19.2m) increase as compared with the corresponding period last year.
The monthly review of the Central Bank of Armenia (CBA) says that the largest amount was transferred from Russia (U.S. $308m), followed by the U.S. ($48.1), and Germany (U.S. $8.6). Turkey ranks 9th (U.S. $957,000).
During the period under review, transfers from Armenia totaled U.S. 244.3m against U.S. $208.4 last January-May (a 17.3% increase). Net inflows totaled U.S. 235.5m against U.S. 252.3m – a 6.6% annual decrease.
