YEREVAN. – Armenian parliament will convene a special session to discuss an incident with opposition MP Aram Manukyan, MP Tigran Urikhanyan told reporters.

He said non-ruling parliamentary factions have collected 44 signatures, and the special session will be held today.

As reported earlier, an unidentified person assaulted and hit Aram Manukyan, an MP from the Armenian National Congress, in the entrance of the building where he lives on December 11. The lawmakers from non-ruling factions demand punishment for the guilty. They said the responsible officials must be dismissed.
