YEREVAN. – Armenian Deputy Economy Minister warned against hasty statements on increase in gas prices.
Areg Galstyan noted that Armenia is buying Russian gas for dollars and drastic changes in exchange rate must be taken into account.
“But it is up to business financiers. They have to sit down and hold a serious discussion. And it is very important not to escalate the situation,” Galsyan added.
Armenia is purchasing Russian gas for $189 per 1,000 cubic meters.
