“France, as an OSCE Minsk Group co-chair country, is trying to resume dialogue between Azerbaijan and Armenia,” French Ambassador to Azerbaijan Pascal Meunier stated the abovementioned, reported APA news agency of Azerbaijan.

“Unfortunately, some time ago the tension between Azerbaijan and Armenia escalated, and it still continues. We are in favor of peace, which promotes prosperity. Oil-price fall and ruble’s decline show that the tension does not serve the sustainable development of economy. We stand for peace and stability in the region,” the ambassador stressed.

Meunier also noted that the resumption of dialogue between Azerbaijan and Armenia will accelerate the Nagorno-Karabakh peace process.
