YEREVAN. – Education and Science Minister Armen Ashotyan received US Ambassador John Heffern, who is ending his diplomatic mission in Armenia.

Minister Ashotyan thanked the ambassador for the implementation—during his tenure—of several American-assisted education programs in Armenia, informed the Ministry of Education and Science press service.

Stressing that education is an important domain of bilateral cooperation, ambassador Heffern, for his part, asked about Armenia’s educational programs for the coming year and the ongoing educational reforms in the country expressing a wish that they be continuous.

The interlocutors also explored the prospects for further Armenian-American cooperation in the education sector.
