YEREVAN. – If the rise in the currency exchange rate continues and Gazprom Armenia company continues to record respective losses in the coming months, a decision will be made, as a result of the monitoring that was conducted, to petition to the Public Services Regulatory Commission to review the natural gas prices in Armenia.

Gazprom Armenia Spokesperson Shushan Sardaryan told about the above-said to Armenian News-NEWS.am.

Sardaryan added that, based on the working procedure and also considering the most recent fluctuations in the Armenian national currency’s—the dram’s—exchange rate against the US dollar, the company has the right to petition to the aforesaid regulatory body on the price issue.

Gazprom Armenia, which supplies Russian natural gas to Armenia, makes the payments for the imported gas in US dollars.
