STEPANAKERT. – Nagorno-Karabakh Republic (NKR; Artsakh) President Bako Sahakyan on Wednesday attended an event devoted to the 90th anniversary of the NKR Public Prosecutor’s Office.

The President congratulated the entire staff of the attorney general’s office on this anniversary, and handed in the certificates of NKR Honored Attorney honorary titles to several members and veterans of the office, informed the Central Information Department of the Office of the NKR President.

In his remarks, Sahakyan considered the prosecutor’s office to be among the crucial organizations of Artsakh’s state system, and added that the major road it had passed and its worthy merit clearly demonstrate its role.

The President stressed that the state will continue promoting all possible assistance aimed at raising the efficiency of the system, modernization of its material and technical basis, and improvement of the working and social conditions of its staff.

Archbishop Pargev Martirosyan, who is Primate of the Artsakh Diocese of the Armenian Apostolic Church, NKR Prime Minister Ara Harutyunyan, Prosecutor General of Armenia Gevorg Kostanyan, and several other officials also participated in the event.
