YEREVAN. – If the currency exchange offices continue to speculate, the government of Armenia will discuss sharp restrictions on their activities, Prime Minister Hovik Abrahamyan told Armenian News-NEWS.am.

“There is a speculation trend in the foreign exchange market worldwide. As a rule, it is done in certain areas, according to certain rules, and the impact on consumers is indirect or more moderate. Unfortunately, in Armenia there is speculation in currency exchange offices that often pursue concrete steps. If they continue doing so, the government will discuss restriction of their activities at the legislative level,” he assured.
