YEREVAN. – Around 300 children from the public schools in Armenia’s capital city of Yerevan were hosted Monday at the Office of the President, where they participate in a New Year and Christmas event.

First, the children spent some time with fairytale characters. Subsequently, Santa Claus and Snow Maiden came and gave them presents.

“The objective of the event is for the little children to be able to visits, see the [presidential] residence, and get [season’s] greetings and gifts here,” the Deputy Chief of the President’s Staff, Armine Gevorgyan, told reporters.

She added that the Office of the President’s New Year and Christmas activities for children have kicked off as of Monday.
