YEREVAN. - Due to objective reasons, the difficulties and uncertainties of the outgoing year may continue in Armenia next year, stated the President of Armenia Serzh Sargsyan during the reception for the business community, Armenian News - NEWS.am reports.

“Any country, any economy, even the most powerful like the United States, or the joint EU economy, can always encounter complexities and difficulties. In countries like ours, these complexities and difficulties may occur more often,” President Sargsyan said.

According to him, in such moments, it is important not to blame someone and not to panic but rather do the job, as in that way it is easier to overcome the difficulties. The president stressed that the business community of Armenia did a good job in 2014 and was able to overcome the major obstacles. According to Serzh Sargsyan, given the present situation, Armenian businessmen did a good job indeed.

The president also touched on the prospects for the economy in the context of the new integration processes and forthcoming accession of Armenia in Russia-led Eurasian Union. According to him, new integration processes open new opportunities and new challenges at the same time.

“I never doubted the competitiveness of our businesses, and I am sure they will have their role in the new economic union,” Armenian President added.
