YEREVAN. – With Armenia's accession to the Eurasian Economic Union starting January 1, 2015, Armenian entrepreneurs will simply continue working with the help of contacts they had established. The accession will hardly bring something new, chairman of the Union of Manufacturers and Businessmen Raffi Mkhchyan said.

The economist called to be realistic, adding that costs for cargo transportation on one vehicle “will hardly reduce from $5,000 t0 $2,500” simply because of joining the union.

“By joining the Union, Armenian entrepreneurs will have to do less paper work, that's it,” he emphasized.

At the same time the economist said Armenia will be competitive in the territory of the Eurasian Union in some sectors, such as winemaking, brandy production, jewelry and agriculture.
