Russian Ambassador Ivan Volinkin on Tuesday paid a visit to Armenia’s predominantly Russian-populated Fioletovo and Lermontovo villages.

Together with Rossotrudnichestvo—the Russian Federation Federal Agency for the Commonwealth of Independent States, Compatriots Living Abroad and International Humanitarian Cooperation—Armenia representation director Mark Kalinin, and South Caucasus Railway Company General Director Victor Rebets, the ambassador congratulated the Molokans on the coming New Year and Christmas holidays, the Armenian News-NEWS.am reporter informed from the location.

In addition, they provided books, textbooks, and methodical material to the local school library.

“This is actually a good tradition, since each and every child rejoices over a gift and awaits the New Year,” Ambassador Volinkin said, in particular.
