YEREVAN. – Georgia will do everything to preserve trade and transit of goods with Armenia at the highest level, Georgian Economy Minister Georgiy Kvarikashvili said in Yerevan.

He emphasized that an agreement on free trade area between Georgia and EU as well as Armenia's joining Eurasian Economic Union will leave a transitional period of several years during which it will be possible to reach new deals.

“We will do everything so that the countries could have the same regime [free trade regime],” Kvarikashvili said.

The talks may be held in bilateral format or within WTO, but the only goal is to preserve a status quo, the Minister explained.
