YEREVAN. - Management of Yerevan Zvartnots Airport (Armenia International Airports CJSC) is ready to discuss reducing passenger handling fees, the airport Director General Marcelo Vende told Armenia News - NEWS.am.

Earlier, at the Government session on Dec. 11, Armenia’s Prime Minster Hovik Abrahamyan welcomed the legislative bill of lifting exit visa fees for passengers of Shirak airport in Gyumri, second largest city in Armenia. Armenia International Airports decided to top up this benefit by cutting €25 off the €45 handling fee per passenger, which would help to reduce fares.

When asked whether the same could be done in Zvartnots, Vende told that the company is ready for discussions, although it’s early to provide figures.

“We cannot say if this will be €20, €25 or €30, but we will support the government, thus helping to develop tourism in the country,” Vende added.
