YEREVAN. – It appears emigration from Armenia is gaining a new momentum this year, Chorrord Ishkhanutyun daily reported. 

“In January-November alone, the number of people who have left and not returned to Armenia by air totaled 21,862 persons.    

“[A total of] 957,826 people left, 938,981 returned [to the country] via Zvartnots [International] Airport of [capital city] Yerevan, and 18,882 [people] left, 15,865 returned via Shirak [International] Airport of Gyumri [city].

“Incidentally, this exceeds the indicator that was recorded the same time in 2013 by about three times. Last year alone, [a total of] 7,871 people had left [Armenia] by air,” Chorrord Ishkhanutyun wrote.
