YEREVAN. – Judge Khachatur Khachatryan of the General Jurisdiction Court of Armenia’s Lori Region was detained Thursday while taking a bribe.

The National Security Service press center informed the aforementioned to Armenian News-NEWS.am.

It was found out that Judge Khachatryan had demanded and subsequently received a $20,000 bribe to resolve a civil case involving a businessman in the latter’s favor.

A criminal case is opened on this incident, and a respective investigation is underway.
