YEREVAN. – Higher than normal precipitation and air temperature are expected for Armenia in January 2015, Meteorological Center Director Zaruhi Petrosyan said at a press conference on Monday.
She added that such a warm January was recorded in Armenia also in 1966, 1963, 1987, 2004, and 2010.
Petrosyan also noted that no snow is expected on the first day of the New Year in capital city Yerevan and in the Ararat Valley.
On January 2 and 3, however, rain is expected in Yerevan, whereas snow, in the mountainous areas.
