STEPANAKERT. – The interest of foreign tourists in the Nagorno-Karabakh Republic is growing year-on-year, NKR Prime Minister Arayik Harutyunyan said in an interview with Armenian News-NEWS.am.
“For example, last year Karabakh registered a 40-percent growth in number of tourists, among which a significant portion of tourists of non-Armenian origin. Their interest is conditioned not by rich historical and cultural heritage only, but favorable climatic conditions in Artsakh,” Harutyunyan said.
The promotion campaign is carried out through participation in large international travel shows, shooting and distribution of video ads and films, as well as publications spread in the target markets and on the web. Thus, growing interest of foreigners in NKR is conditioned by effective propaganda as well, he added.
