YEREVAN. – In 2014, the Zvartnots and Shirak International Airports of Armenia’s capital city Yerevan and Gyumri city, respectively, have served a total of 2,082,755 passengers, which is around 324,511 passengers—or 18.5 percent—more than the 2013 indicator.

The Armenian government-affiliated General Department of Civil Aviation press service informed that 1,039,891 passengers departed from and 1,042,864 passengers arrived in Armenia in the reporting period. The positive balance between departures and arrivals is about 3,000 passengers.

Separately, the volume of cargo amounted to 10.4 tons, which is slightly less than the 2013 figure, whereas the number of flights and landings has increased by 18.4 percent and totaled 10,553.
