YEREVAN. – Deepening of relations with the European Union is high on the agenda of Armenia's foreign policy, says the annual report issued by the Armenian Foreign Ministry on Monday.

Starting January 1, 2014, an agreement on facilitation of visa requirements and readmission with EU came into force.

The protocol on common principles of Armenia's participation in EU projects came into force on March 1, and this provides Armenia with an opportunity to participate in different EU projects and the work of agencies.

On July 22 Armenian FM Edward Nalbandian participated in the meeting of Foreign Ministers of EU and Eastern Partnership member states.

A working group of EU on Eastern Europe and Central Asia visited Armenia in October.

The EU Special Representative for South Caucasus and crisis in Ambassador Herbert Salber visited Armenia in July and October. Member of the European Parliament Ryszard Czarnecki visited Armenia on December 19.

In November the Commissioner for European Neighbourhood Policy and Enlargement Negotiations Johannes Hahn and Armenian Economy Minister Chshmaritian, signed a Memorandum of Understanding, launching the Single Support Framework for EU-support to Armenia, which sets strategic objectives and priorities for future cooperation in 2014-2017 (between €140 - € 170).

The meeting of Armenia-EU Cooperation Council took place on December 9, and the sixth meeting on EU-Armenia Human Rights Dialogue was held on December 11.

In February the fourteenth meeting of Armenia-EU Parliamentary Cooperation Committee was held.
