YEREVAN. – Armenia has informed CSTO and other international agencies, in particular OSCE and UN, about Azerbaijan's provocations on the border, Armenian FM Edward Nalbandian said during a press conference on Monday.

The Armenian side always informs CSTO about provocations that can destabilize situation and that are posing a threat. The CSTO, in turn, often gives an assessment of the situation. The organization was informed about the first provocation that occurred on January 3, he assured.

CSTO expressed its position through statements, including the one made during the summit last December. However, to expect CSTO's response to daily cases of ceasefire violation by Azerbaijani side means to devalue the opinion of the organization.

It is necessary to give real assessment of the situation and actions, he said, underscoring necessity of preserving conditions for continuation of talks.

“It is not a mere coincidence that U.S., France and earlier Russia, organized summits to have a detailed discussion,” he said.

Nalbandian reminded about Azerbaijani leader's statement on necessity to settle Karabakh conflict peacefully.

“But Aliyev has short memory, and he forgets everything he said as soon as he comes to Baku,” the Minister emphasized.
