YEREVAN. – All of Armenia’s roads are primarily drivable as of Thursday at 8am, reported the Ministry of Territorial Administration and Emergency Situations.

But the Sotk-Karvachar Highway is difficult to pass, informed the Ministry Rescue Service.

Also, there is black ice on some sections of the Vanadzor-Dilijan and the Spitak-Yerevan Highways, the bends of Spitak city, and “Zanger” road section of the Syunik Region. 

In addition, there is snowfall in capital city Yerevan, and in Abovyan and Charentsavan cities.

The road crews are scattering salt and sand on the roads to ensure safe travel.

The drivers are advised to use winter tires in their vehicles.

And according to the information received from the Emergency Situations Department of Georgia, the country’s Stepantsminda-Larsi Highway, which leads to the Armenian border, is open for all vehicles with chained wheels.
