YEREVAN. – World-renowned Italian footballers and 2006 World Cup champions Gennaro Gattuso and Marco Materazzi will visit Armenia in March.

In capital city Yerevan, they will take part in a match between the ex-USSR and world stars’ teams of the   1980s and 1990s, and marking the 60th birth anniversary of Khoren Hovhannisyan, the legendary player of FC Ararat Yerevan and the ex-USSR national squad.

The Armenian News-NEWS.am reporter has learned about the aforesaid.

The greatest Bulgarian footballer of all time, Hristo Stoichkov, also will arrive in Armenia together with the abovementioned Italian football legends.

The names of other footballers, who will come to Yerevan to participate in this match, will become clear in the coming days. 

The game of tribute is slated for March 28.
