YEREVAN. – The Initiatives for Development of Armenia (IDeA) Foundation and the World Wildlife Fund (WWF)-Armenia on Friday signed a memorandum of understanding.

In accordance with this document, the IDeA Foundation and the WWF-Armenia will carry out joint activities to improve the supervision of the Devil’s Bridge (Satani Kamurj) natural monument of Armenia, and to launch the creation of a new special nature protection area—the Tatev National Park—in the south of the country.   

The objective of these initiatives is to protect Armenia’s unique ecosystem and biodiversity area, and assist in the development of ecotourism in the country.  

The memorandum of understanding was signed by IDeA Foundation CEO Armen Gevorgyan, and WWF-Armenia Director Karen Manvelyan.
