The President of Armenia, Serzh Sargsyan, on Saturday paid a working visit to the Kotayk Region.

Sargsyan toured the Mavas Group company’s greenhouses in Dzoraghbyur village, and got familiarized with the company’s investment projects, created conditions and production capacity.

Mavas Group primarily grows cucumbers and tomatoes in five greenhouses, and its new greenhouse is set to be launched in September or October.

The greenhouses are equipped with the latest European apparatus, mostly from the Netherlands.

The Mavas Group officials informed that even though the company products were mainly sold in the domestic market so far, it is also planned to put emphasis on exports, as of March.

During the tour, those in charge of Armenia’s agriculture sector also briefed the President on the general conditions and the development process of greenhouses in the country.
