The signing of the Deep and Comprehensive Free Trade Area (DCFTA) agreement between the European Union and Georgia enables Armenian companies to make investments and launch production in Georgia. The signing of this agreement will open a free road to them toward the European market.

Georgian political scientist Beka Natsvlishvili stated the aforementioned at an online press conference.

Responding to a query by the Armenian News-NEWS.am reporter, Natsvlishvili also said: “Both sides [i.e. Armenia and Georgia] certainly wish to develop these [economic] relations. But we must not forget the Russian factor.”

The political scientist also recalled that Georgia is the main “road” that links Russia to Armenia, and the latter is a unique guarantee of stability for the Armenian-populated areas of Georgia.

“Armenia has been a trading partner of Georgia,” Natsvlishvili added.

At the same time, he noted that nothing will get in the way of establishing Armenian-Georgian joint business ventures.
