YEREVAN. – Armenia's Prime Minister Hovik Abrahamyan on Monday received USAID Acting Assistant Administrator for Europe and Eurasia Susan Fritz and Armenia Mission director Karen R. Hilliard.

The Prime Minister hailed cooperation between the Armenian government and USAID office and the assistance to reforms that are being carried out in various sectors. Referring to curbing corruption, Hovik Abrahamyan said he would chair the council that will work openly and transparently to focus on moves aimed at combating corruption. The council will involve representatives of civil society and of the opposition parliamentary groups, he assured.

Susan Fritz, for her part, confirmed that USAID wuld continue active cooperation with the Armenian government and would support the reforms.

They discussed issues related to development and expansion of collaboration in different sectors.
