YEREVAN. – Wives of the diplomats accredited in Armenia visited newly opened museum of the great Armenian composer Komitas (photo).

The event was initiated by “Welcome to Armenia” association headed by Natalya Nalbandian, the wife of Armenian Foreign Minister Edward Nalbandian.

“Komitas is emblematic figure in Armenia's culture, in the history of Armenia and history of the Armenian Genocide,” she said.

The visit's goal is to get familiarized with the works of the founder of Armenian music.

The event was also attended by Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Czech Republic in Armenia Peter Mikiska and adviser to the Chinese Embassy in Armenia Lo Shisyun.

Geghard chorus performed the works of Komitas for the guests. Natalya Nalbandian handed over forget-me-nots, the symbol of the Armenian Genocide Centennial, to the guests.
