YEREVAN. – All three mobile phone operators of Armenia function in 68.5 percent of the country’s cities and villages.

The chairman of the Public Services Regulatory Commission of Armenia, Robert Nazaryan, stated the aforesaid at the National Assembly on Tuesday, as he presented the commission’s 2014 report.

Accordingly, two mobile phone operators are accessible in 23 percent of the country’s places of residence, and solely one mobile phone operator is within reach in 8.5 percent of Armenia’s dwellings.

In addition, a total of 97 percent of the stretch of the country’s interstate highway has mobile phone connection.

Furthermore, Nazaryan informed that the modernization of Armenia’s fixed telephone network is virtually completed.
