YEREVAN. – Armenia's Justice Miniseries Hovhannes Manukyan on Wednesday received U.S. Ambassador to Armenia Richard Mills.

Minister Manukyan hailed Armenia-US cooperation, expressing hope that newly appointed ambassador's efforts will contribute to the deepening and development of bilateral ties.

Ambassador Mills said the U.S. government attaches importance to dynamic development of relations with Armenia and assured that he will support joint programs that are carried out together with the Justice Ministry.

They discussed issues related to criminal justice and prison reforms, as well as anti-corruption moves.

Pointing out the experience of probation in the United States, the parties discussed possibility of studying U.S. experience. Ambassador pointed out the Ministry's efforts into drafting a draft bill on NGOs that is important in terms of development of civil society.
